We believe every child deserves a safe learning environment with developmentally appropriate activities to enhance their learning experience. Our goal is to provide quality child care while enhancing each child’s spirituality and treating each child as an individual. We will challenge each child enough to achieve success in reaching the next step in their development while focusing on the five selves; Physical, Social, Emotional, Cognitive and Creativity.
During the 1st year, a child usually... begins to explore his environment, becomes attracted to shapes, sizes, colors and objects that have certain qualities (hardness, softness, rough, smooth etc), grasps items with forefinger and thumb, enjoys touching objects and scribbles with crayons The 2nd year... handles blocks and bean bags, strings large beads and sometimes will follow a pattern. Turns pages in a book to look at pictures, makes marks and scribbles, experiences with colors and lines, loves working with fingerpaints. In the next 1 1/2 years...begins to use a paintbrush, working with play dough, building structures with blocks, holds a crayon in a fist, scribbles, shows signs of visual control, draws what they feel rather than what they see, can copy a circle, trace shapes, and cuts with scissors. Next... make simple figure representations, draw a person with two parts, draw a circle and a cross, matches colors, draws straight lines and can copy squares and triangles. By the 1st grade... draw a person with six parts, name colors, make orderly arrangements in their pictures, use appropriate colors to respresent actual objects.

My name is Clydedina (Dina) Bocook. I have worked with Head Start programs for 15 years as a Teacher, Education Specialist and a Disabilities Coordinator. I have a degree in Early Childhood Development with a Pre-K license. Because of some family responsibilities God has provided me the opportunity to follow my dream of owning my own child care.
I started Homeland Christian Child Care LLC in my home to provide quality child care for families at a reasonable cost.
On the personal side…I have been married to my best friend/husband since 1977. We have 3 grown sons; our oldest is married with 2 children, Summer and Tre who call me Abu.
We believe God is the Head of our household and that family is an important part of our lives.
